Manchester MIDI School
 Stroke: PR established a monthly newsletter and eflyer for direct mailing previous and current students of this private music production and DJ college.
Celebrating ten years in music innovation the Apple endorsed college asked Stroke: PR to organise a Christmas party for press, students, music practitioners and potential clients which took place at Moho Live in the Northern Quarter.
Stroke: PR will be marketing the innovative online Ableton course which is currrently being developed at the School:due to be launched to an international market April 2008.

Ear To The Ground
New Islington Festival
"Manchester's newest and most unusual event. Held where avant garde architecture and design mix. Featuring music, art, film, poetry, literature and sheep". The New Islington Festival is an "Urban Festival for the Folk of Manchester".
Stroke:PR liaised with community radio station ALLFM for an outdoor broadcast and youth groups to perform on the community band stand on this family friendly event which included live music, storytelling, pedalos and workshops.New Islington Festival |
Manchester International Festival: Monkey - Journey To The West
Community Media Liaison / Creative Director
A songwriting project interpreting the classic Chinese legend of the Monkey Kings journey to enlightenment.
Stroke liaised with the musical director David Coulter (from The Good, The Bad And The Queen with Damon Alburn from Blur/ Gorillaz); nine community groups and their facilitators; Lets Go Global the Internet TV company and ALLFM the community radio station to produce a radio show about the project and to highlight the final performance at The Green Room in Manchester.
Stroke was on both sides of the camera and microphone for pre-recorded and live broadcasts and was involved with the final production of the CD which was recorded at Gorse Hill Studios. Monkey Magic My Space |
The Roadhouse
Gig and Club Venue, Manchester
Stroke: PR was responsible for overhauling the promotions and marketing strategy for The Roadhouse, Manchester.
Including promoting a busy and ever changing monthly diary that includes over 6 clubnights, 40 local bands, 10 touring bands, album launches and release parties
The projects main aim was to implement new marketing publications and drive the design and development of a new (and forthcoming) website.
